Finance

We need your support.

As an employee of OM Deutschland e.v., we also receive no salary for our work from the Mission Agency. All costs on the mission field, insurance costs, as well as the school costs must be raised through our support team. The reason for this is that each missionary takes care of their own supporters and thereby trusts God for finances and not the mission organization.

Transfers are possible in the following ways:

to our private bank account (without donation receipt):

We ourselves cannot issue a donation receipt. Donations for which such a certificate is requested must be transferred directly to OM and will be used exclusively to cover service costs.

Donor addresses

In the case of individual donations and standing orders, it is important that each donation includes the name, first name and full address of the donor (in legible writing). Otherwise, some donors remain anonymous because they cannot be determined.

Alternatively, we ask donors from Germany to state their own friend number (e.g. "0027012345"). This is printed on the first donation receipt or on the GLOBAL address carrier. This avoids confusion of names and similarities.

Grant Receipts

Since 2007, donations for participants or projects addressed directly to OM Germany have been deductible at 20% of the total amount of income.

For foundations, it has been possible to claim €20,450 tax annually for an additional year. Here, too, the 20% limit of income is now in place, so that foundations are treated in the same way as charitable associations.

At the beginning of a new year, OM automatically sends a receipt for all donations of the past year. This saves postage and administrative expenses.

How does the Schmidt Family know about the donation?

After each monthly closing, they will find an overview of the donations received for them, including donors, on the OM internal website "Caleb" (intranet) in a secure web area.
